Last month, cross-browser bookmark syncing service Xmarks announced that they were shutting down. But, Xmarks just announced today on their blog that there may be life in the future after all.
This is a perfect example of the web community banding together for a common cause and using their vast numbers to affect the course of, in this case, the destiny of a company. According to James Joaquin of Xmarks, there isn’t anything solid on the table yet, but there have been several companies interested in purchasing Xmarks and keeping the service going.
The Xmarks users have also voiced their opinion in the form of committed pledges to pay for a premium Xmarks service. You can do the same here.
